  20.     From the DOS command line, you have the capability to send faxes in the
  21.     background.  The command line is as follows:
  22.  
  23.     SNDFAX /F:<FileName> /FN:<FaxNumber> /GP:<Group>
  24.     
  25.     Additional command line options not listed in the manual:
  26.  
  27.     /AT: or /ATTN:  - Specify the ATTN: field on the cover page
  28.     /DT: or /DATE:  - Date at which the fax is to be sent  MM-DD-YY
  29.     /FN: or /FAX#:  - Fax phone number where fax is to be sent
  30.               Note: Replace all commas in the phone number
  31.               with the '.' character
  32.     /TO:            - Specify the TO: field on the cover page

  34.     The documents that you send using the DOS command line must be in a QFX
  35.     or REC file  format.  If no schedule time is  specified  on the command
  36.     line, the fax will be sent immediately.

  41.     QuickLink II Fax no longer needs a DOS environment  variable to be run
  42.     from  a different subdirectory.  Be sure to  include the QL II Fax sub-
  43.     directory in your PATH variable so DOS can find the QL2FAX program.

  47.     SET PATH=C:\QL2FAX
  48.  
  49.     If you already have a PATH variable, you can either add ";C:\QL2FAX" to
  50.     the already existing PATH statement, or add a new  line after the first
  51.     SET PATH statement which contains "SET PATH=C:\QL2FAX;%PATH%".

  56.     The first line in this  file will cause the  converted file SMSLOGO.QFX
  57.     (a graphic image) to  be merged  with  the contents of this text.  When
  58.     you convert (check the Center text box on the Fax Setup window for best
  59.     results) this document (QLREADME.TXT)  and fax it out or  view  it with
  60.     the View  Fax  Document option,  you can see the  results.  This is the
  61.     same method you would use if you wanted  to include a company header or
  62.     a signature graphic on your faxed text documents.ˇˇ

  67. FASTFAX [options]
  68.  
  69. /E  - When converting a PCL document, do not use EMS or XMS memory page
  70.       swapping.  The conversion process will use the default drive (where
  71.       FastFax was run from) as a disk swapping area.
  72.  
  73. /M# - Specify the amount of RAM to reserve for FastFax when it is activated.
  74.       This switch may be useful if you have problems accessing a large fax
  75.       phone list.  The # represents the number of 1024 (1K) bytes to reserve
  76.       for FastFax.  The default is 360K.  When you first load FastFax into
  77.       memory, the amount of RAM you specify must be available.  This does
  78.       not mean that when you activate FastFax that this memory has to be
  79.       available, only during the FastFax load.

  81. /N  - Turn off FastFax activation/deactivation sounds.

  83. /REC - Load the Fax Receiving TSR.
